Apple put on notice for poisonous products

On Monday, January 10, CTBC representatives headed to Apple's Cupertino headquarters to announce the campaign's intention to target Apple in 2005. Activists kicked off the campaign the next day at the MacWorld during Jobs annual speech, holding banners with slogans that read, "From iPod to iWaste; Toxic Trash, in Your Pocket," and distributing leaflets boasting CTBC's new website, www.badapple.biz. The Computer Take Back Campaign plans to use the new site to educate Apple users on the company's pollution practices, offering web-surfers the option to email Steve Jobs with a request to address the growing stream of iPod "iWaste."
