    6. A half-page advertisement paid for by National Semiconductor printed in Greenock Telegraph on March 4, 1998.
    The advertisement followed the release of a report by the Health and Safety Executive on a study of miscarriage rates within the semiconductor industry in the United Kingdom. Contrary to 3 studies done in the United States, the UK study did not identify a connection between working in the semiconductor industry in the United Kingdom and an increase in miscarriage rates. The credibility and the findings of this study have been severely challenged by leading occupational health and safety experts in the United States.
