reports on women workers at National Semiconductor in Scotland who
had contracted breast, uterine and cervical cancer. Other recent media
reports by the BBC Frontline and NBC
Dateline have also linked the health of
workers in electronics manufacturing plants to their chemical
exposure. In addition, an article in the Washington Post on
Sept. 18 provided further evidence of growing concerns about
health risks for women working in the semiconductor industry.
