Got CD's?????----
DON'T LANDFILL--DON'T BURN!

CD's are contain polycarbonate plastic and aluminum --- These are both recyclable materials.

Here's a few options for disposal of the little items.

Send one of the companies listed below the stuff you want recycled - at your own expense.

Visit Green Disk for general information.

GREENDISK, INC

You can send Green Disk:

CDs

  • music cds, CD-ROMs, writable and writable/rewritable CDs

    TAPES

  • music tapes, 8-track tapes and video tapes

    COMPUTER DISKETTES

  • 3-1/2" diskettes (unfortunately, they won't take the big 5-1/4" floppy disks).

    PACKAGING

  • audio tape, video tape and CD cases

    A bit on their process
The floppies and tapes are erased and sold to a vendor that separates them into their raw materials and sells those materials. The CDs and CD cases are ground and reprocessed into products like CD holders and office stuff that is then sold at Office Depot.

    A bit on their process
